Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 21, 2026

1What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners.

CLASSARK uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies (such as localStorage and sessionStorage) to operate the platform and provide a seamless user experience.

2Cookies We Use

CLASSARK uses only the cookies necessary to operate the platform. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.

Firebase ID Token (IndexedDB)EssentialStored by Firebase SDK to manage authentication state and enable secure API callsSession / token lifetime
Video Player State (localStorage)FunctionalRemembers video playback preferences (volume, quality) for lesson video contentPersistent (local device only)
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising or behavioural tracking technologies.

3Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. Without them, core features like login and session management would not work. These cookies cannot be disabled while using CLASSARK.

Firebase Authentication, which powers our login system, uses browser storage to maintain your authenticated session. This is a security requirement and does not involve tracking your browsing behaviour.

4Third-Party Cookies

Some third-party services embedded in CLASSARK may set their own cookies or use similar storage mechanisms. These include:

  • Google Firebase — sets cookies related to authentication and security. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Zoom — live class sessions run through the Zoom Meeting SDK directly in your browser (no app download required), which may set cookies to support the meeting connection. Governed by Zoom's Privacy Policy.

5Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the platform.

Instructions for common browsers:

  • Chrome — Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge — Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions → Manage and Delete Cookies

6Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes or as required by law. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
